Tried to wire my 220v TV on my boat last week.
Glomex disk aerial with 12 V amplifier.
Wired Tv to 220v and watched DVd no probs. Next day plugged amp into cigarette lighter (12V output) - Aerial plugged in to amp and then Tv aerial (output from amp) lead into TV BANG! blown TV.
Checked Voltage with tester 12 V into amp -ok.
Tested end of aerial lead and TV aerial input - 220 Volts!
First to admit I'm no sparky but can't for the life of me think how this happened.
Any suggestions before I try again with new Tv would be much appreciated
