Iffley coming back from a bit of neglect and it's bee thoughtfully replanted with a mix of "nice things" - lavender that brushes against you as you walk along the lockside and gives off a nice smell.

If Richmond counted - that would be my vote, always very helpful when there's low water or for lock/weir advice :)

Gone for my local lock; Shepperton, probably the busiest and certainly the one with the most spectators. Just waiting for the discount voucher:)

To be fair these days it has got real weeds and moss growing through it.

It's for Elfin Safety reasons (Lord, preserve us).
That's why many of the gardens have disappeared over the years. A great shame as it added to the "colour" of the River; mark you, the yellow and black lines and boxes have brought some colour back.......
