Can't remember where I recently read it, but acoording to the article, increased sunspot activity by 2011 will render all GPS units totally inaccurate. Any comments/thoughts etc. and are manufacturers keeping quiet about it until they've sold everyone at least 2 units?

well, i don't think you are jimi so ... as there were loads of 'em a couple of years back and nothing happened although jimi did resort to his AA road atlas, I think we'll be OK 2011.

Sadly, your chart may not be updated. After looking at irrefutable data provided by our esteemed pal, Nab Tower has moved ....

Ship's Cat would have been able to give you lots of reasons why this is not going to happen, but unfortunately he's gone walkabout.

Just keep your manual charting skills and DR upto date, and nothing can go wrong, go wrong, go.....

Oh, welcome to the Forum, by the way.

Unfortunately your first post is rather too much like the posting style of one of our forumites, who has been known to assume a different identity. And this particular subject has been done to death in the recent past.

Notwithstanding this, and your reception to a first post, welcome to the forums.

He plays a lot of things but didn't know that was one ...

Paranoia ??

Article in this month's YW - hopefully the new Euro system will take account of this interference or is that wishful thinking?

Anyone else notice a family resemblance or am I being paranoid?
