2004 Bavaria toe rail

Mine has recently been damaged in the marina. Anyone have any experience in getting the toerail replaced?

I think this deserves an answer from someone who knows because as far as I remember, not having owned one, that the toerail covers the hull-deck join and repair will need to be done to make sure this join is still strong and watertight. It might involve more than appears at first, but I hope I'm wrong.
