2 Stroke outboards in Channel Islands?

Just to ask, but why do you want to have polluting 2 stroke? Have you stock of oil to get through?

I don't know who you are asking that question of, but personally I would choose a 2 stroke for many reasons. Weight is the big one, and with that you get great power to weight ratios. My 9.8hp 2 stroke weighs the same as a modern 4hp 4 stroke. It has twice the cylinders and more than twice the power. Then there is my 3.3hp tender outard. It weighs half the weight of the 4hp 4stroke so its very easy to take on and off the tender etc, but has almost the same power. In fact in use it provides a better top speed than a 4hp 4 stroke. Then there is teh simplicity, ease of storage and (and this may just be me) that lovely 2 stroke smell ;)
