Yep - I will add oil as per standard 2 stroke mix.
The fuel tap looks a bit ropey. It works though. It is remote and there is a filter.
The metal pipe on the carb (which the fuel line attaches to) bolts on as per item 14 on Vics diagram

The fuel flows round the inner section and goes through small holes.
A few fibres had somehow got jammed in between the two sections. Fuel could get through but the flow rate was reduced.
I have no idea how the fibres got past the filter.
I ran the engine at high revs and it was working well where before it would stop due to fuel starvation.
The final test will be to get out on the water but I am fairly hopeful.
