2" BSP calorifier heating element - plumbers help needed!

Hi,

I have an old Martec calorifier and I need to change the 240v heating element.

All the marine elememts are 2 1/4" BSP threads but this one seems to be 2" BSP (57.6 mm O.D thread).

Any ideas where I could find a replacement? (Martec are no more).

Only ones I can find seem to be commercial ones and mention vented or unvented cylinders - I have no idea what the calorifier is or if these would be suitable !!

SVB may have them at yachtie prices. I took my heating element to a plumber's shop and they got a new one for me by the following day.

Thermco BESTB-340 14" Immersion Heater with 2" Boss

I've used these before , good service, maybe worth giving them a shout.
Edit . I realise the one in image says 2and a quarter boss , no harm in asking though.

I was asked for one of these some time ago and never found a supplier. I soldered a 2 1/4" boss intended for converting domestic cylinders to immersion or hot rod heating on top of the existing 2" ring. Like this one.

Thanks for this - my cylinder is stainless steel so not sure how that would solder but a good solution
I have ordered one of the Flamco ones - will confirm if it fits

If all else fails you could cut a new hole and use an Essex 2 1/4" flange but then you would have to find a brass 2" plug for the original hole.

Found 2" BSP here. C11ATS - 3kW 11" Immersion Heater
Probably other lengths and wattages from them as well. I fitted a low wattage one on my boat as some supplies were not up to running a 3KW element.
