1GM Control Panel

As part of the refurb on my Horizon I've moved the Yanmar 1GM B-type panel from inside the cabin to the bridge deck. Seemed to make more sense to me - but looking at photos of other Horizons it seems to be a rare choice. Was it an error?

Can't comment on the specifics of a Horizon 26, but if the question is a general one about the wisdom of having the control panel outside then I can reassure you that our 1GM control panel is mounted in the open at the back of the cockpit and hasn't suffered any water related problems in the 10 years we've had the boat.

Thanks folks. I guess it's just one of those weird Horizonisms like how lots of them (mine included) seem to have been fitted with water fillers under the forepeak berth cushions...
