Hello

Anyone here with a Princess V40 with KAD44 engines?
I have one and I'm not to geting more that 26 knots and I'm trying to find out what is wrong. I would expect it to reach at least 30 knots.
What is the maximum speed for this boats with this engine setup?

When was it last out and hull and drives cleaned? A bit of growth, even a bit of slime (which is pretty much invisible) can make a big difference.

For the first time ever I had to get mid season scrub. KaD300 limited to 20kts, then back to full revs and 28 cruising speed.

Are your props clean?

Yes everything is clean.
Found out it was possible to disable electronic engine sync, when disabled starboard engine goes to 3900 rpm and port engine only around 3500 rpm.

I have the same boat but 1998. Id love to get this speed! I'm stuck at 22 knots at max 3200 rpm. Showing a fault code 5.1 but I'd love to know how to disable the sync, tried a few times but failed

Hold the sync button for a minimum of 5 seconds , the blue light should go out . The fault code table is in the handbook .

Latest update:
Turbo on the engine with low max rev was not good. Exhaust turbine gap was too large.
I have replaced the turbo. But not tested it yet since the boat is on shore.
Bought an overhauled turbo at decent price in Sweden. Had to return the old one back to them.

Hi, how did it end up with the new turbo?
Btw what size props so you have?
I have the same setup with B5’s which seems like bad fit. I’m going to test out B4’s.
