1994 Yamaha 130 V4 outboard value?

I'm looking at buying yet another boat that has one of these engines and I'm then planning on replacing it with something a little newer and less thirsty.

I've never sold an outboard of this size, I'm told it runs ok, is there a market , and if so, any idea of approximate value? I'm inclined to assume it will effectively be scrap but will be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong!

Any thoughts?

Theres a 1997 115 v4 on boats and outboards asking 2k. They are reckoned to be bomb proof but pretty thirsty. Not suprising with the technology of the time. Got to be 1k minimum.

how much petrol can you buy for the upgrade ?

Sometimes Yamaha have buy back schemes. Talk to your dealer, a brand new motor could be yours
