Down at the boat yesterday, and noticed a poster in the marina....

On 18th April, Shotley are hosting an open day...

It starts at 13:00 with a guest slot with Tom Cunliffe, and also has the RNLI doing lorry pulling, a fly by, various RNLI demos, and a raft of other things to see... due to finish late in the evening....

Sounds like a fun afternoon, but most importantly, is for charity... one of the RNLI crew is attempting a cross channel swim in aid of three cancer charities, including the Helen Rollasson fund, so a very good cause.... and close to Shotley's heart after they sadly lost their marina manager to Cancer last year.

We'll be there, and wondered if anyone else is interested.... could be a fun evening!

Thanks for the heads up on this.
I don't think I will be along to that one.
I hope to have Sirenia in the water, in Cambridge, by then but I am having doubts at the moment looking at the number of jobs to do.

Much as we would like to be there for a re run of the excellent laying down supper the date falls right in the middle of a six week stay in Cyprus.

Hoping when we return to Spend most of the Spring Summer aboard fingers crossed.

Its in the Diary. I also have it in mine that this is when VinceH is coming over and aiming at Shotley ??
