The only people who surf at Nazare are full-time professionals with support teams, sponsors and the rest. They don't just jump in and go for it, they fly in when the forecast is good, with photographers, videographers, drone pilots, jetski support riders, media managers and the rest of their entourage in tow.

And it makes great watching.

(I'm all in favour of somebody else doing it though - as stated above, they have to provide their own support and safety cover anyway because you can't physically paddle into a wave like that without a tow)
