Hi all im new to here, I have just bought a 17ft Speedboat Broom Jupiter and im going to restore her, with a new cream interior a deep red paint job with some under water LED lighting, and just to see if there would be any interest of i was to post updates here on her.

I am in the slow process of restoring a bright red Broom Jupiter... 140 mercruiser,cream interior, this could be the year its makes it back to the water! Ill be very interested in photos and updates.

Jim, would love to see some pics of yours to, ill be uploading some soon, also a build update- just in the process of removing the interior and and engine removal

I really hope its in better condition than mine was when i started, i'm in the process of making a new engine wiring loom, then i can see if it will start here's a couple of pictures one as we bought it and the other as the engine was going in. One thing i didn't do enough of as i took mine apart was take loads of pictures... every step so you have a record of how it looks, believe me it will make it easier when you start to put it back together.

Jake, sounds like mine is in the same condition as yours was, I could not see the images for some reson would not let me open them.

Hi there, I used to have a Jupiter maybe 20 years ago - it was a great boat and always regretted selling it. I would love to find another one, condition immaterial, so if you happen to know of any then please let me know. Good luck with the restoration project. Max
 
Stumbled across this post , I owned a broom Jupiter and sold it , was it someone in this group that bought it ? Maybe 10/15 years ago , we sold it at Kew bridge in London and the guy fully restored it and sent us photos , would love to know what happened to it
