13ft Dell Quay Dory Weight

Hi guys,

okay, been searching all over and can’t find the factory weight for my 13ft Dell Quay Dory.
I’ve weighed it at 260kg bare hull...big question...is it waterlogged?

Any help would be fab.

Also does anyone know what’s under the gunnels? I’m looking to put a rail on and would like to know if it’s wood under The glass or Straight into the foam?

There is a dory Facebook page -you might be able to get answers there as I have seen a number of restoration projects.

Oh dear! Yes I fear it may be. I had one and pretty certain it didn't weigh that much originally. Mine got waterlogged and became very heavy over time too though. The only solution was to cut out the floor internally, remove all the soggy foam and replace. Not a pleasant job. Hope for your sake I am wrong.......

Thanks for reply. That’s what I thought too but also found this spec photo that says is should be about 265kg so was somewhat confused. Cheers again
