12V TV

I purchased a Avtex 19" a few months back. Great bit of kit with good picture and sound quality.
They are expensive however but they are designed for use in the boat/caravan 12v environment. You can also put a memory stick in a USB port and use it as a video recorder.

Thanks for all the responses to my OP. I have learned about things that I had not even thought of.

One point is just how important is a masthead antenna of the Glomex type? Is it essential?

Another vote for Avtex, wire it directly to your 12V supply do not use an inverter the losses int e inverts will quickly drain you battery. If you speak to the men at Avtext they will tell you how to make the DVD multi-region.

I purchased this earlier this year from 12 volt TV outlet through amazon. Its only 16" though but does the job in the Solent, France and CI. I am using the arial that came with my maplins digital TV 8 years ago. so possibly nothing special for a magnetic base stump thing. Sound seems ok for TV size in my view contary to some of the views but for £125 what else?.
