12v TV + DVD

19" TV - seems a reasonable item to use on 12v (I would use a maplin smoothed 12v dc/dc)

16:10 Aspect ratio??? What's that all about? 4:3 is normal, 16:9 is widescreen...

16:10 is common for notebook displays (maybe to display the task bar while watching 16:9-DVDs)

about that Maplin regulated supply - got a link? Have searched maplin on 'DC-DC' and '12v regulated' with no success. I've been trying to find 12v DC-DC that will handle the 3A load of an LCD panel but they all seem a bit small so I'm interested in what people have found.

my mistake, they have a 1.5 amp one, but that isnt enough. You can get 15 volts at 6 amps, but not 12. Not enough of an electrician to provide a circuit , but should be possible to provide something to do this. probably diode based. maybe T25 can advise.
