12v mattress coolers

Yep, we share you concern. I have been looking at Orca.pt regularly. They seem to be heading south again. Hopefully arrival in A Curuna won't be an issue
Yes, am watching that closely. The issue is people forget they can travel a long distance in 24hrs so could one day be south and the next be north..

Not sure if there is anything you can do to keep them away as not sure if the so called fishtek pingers work or allowed?

My partner is menopausal, a symptom of which is excessive heat. This could be a good idea.
Same here. In 2023 we spent hurricane season in Grenada and she had to fly back to the UK for 2 months as was too much for her. That was when I would have happily had a catamaran with a big generator and AC! We do not have AC and I do not like relying on the generator as they can be temperamental, just like the bloody watermaker!

It's not legal but large bangers with a rock taped to them seem to work. You won't find anybody saying so due to legal implications

You will find the mattress cooler makes a huge difference. We spent summer 2023 in Grenada. The highest temperature ever recorded that year. We would have melted without it.
If you buy the one with a single cooling pad, you locate it across the double bed. You don't need any cooling under you pillow or your feet. It's just the body core that needs it
