12v heater

This is all very well but is an Eberspacher a practical proposition in for a 17ft boat that has no diesel tank, being outboard propelled?

Warm clothing by day and a very warm sleeping bag by night is the only solution IMHO.

Do try to keep up, Vic! Just responding, as others have, to the post alleging that Eberspachers are unreliable. There's no way I'd suggest putting one in a 17ft outboard-powered boat. If anything, I'd suggest a small Propex-type heater, but I suspect that would cost more than the guy would spend.

In reply to VicS first reply, I have one of these in my Merryfisher. It takes the edge off the chill with the windows closed, but I'm afraid that's all it does. Sleeping bag and thick socks were just as usefull oh, and DON'T fall asleep leaving it on! 'cos you end up with a flat battery, guess how I know. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
