12v Engine Stop Solenoid, Get Rid of The Stop Cable

I bought this for my last boat, fitted with a Merc OM636, which had a cable stop. Depending on your stop cable arrangement you could fit this as a stand alone stop, or in parallel with the cable. Just connect the solenoid to a 12v supply, with a momentary switch/button. When you hold the button in the solenoid will pull the stop on the engine, once stopped, release the button the solenoid returns to the run position.

Not sure what you mean by "another" switch ? It obviously has to have a switch or button, as described in the OP, but that's it.

If you already have an engine with an electic stop solenoid, adding a 2nd one would be pointless. This solenoid is for those with a cable stop, to convert to electric.
