The latest Vega Newsletter just went out so if anyone not subscribed would like a good informative read go to

http://www.sailvega.com/newsletters/september2010/september2.html

and you can find a load of really good images of Vega at

Ever since Peter Willis (Classic Boat Magazine) did his fantastic article on Vega's humanitarian relief work just after the great tsunami in Sumatra we have been hard at work delivering medical and educational supplies to isolated island communities in Indonesia and East Timor. Just thought you might like to have an update on Vega and her work. Our website is at www.sailvega.com and the boats blog is at www.sailvega.wordpress.com. Would love to have any feed back or suggestions.

Yes I have a suggestion , move the lables that cover the text so that one can read it ( ie: "contact us "):D
adjust the site settings so that it suits all monitors ( youn can install a widjet that will give viewers a choice.
otherwise ,love the ship and webpage is pretty.:D

Beautiful boat, shame about the sail colour! A working tan would have looked better than garish red.

The "Next" button needs moving so that it is not obscured by the photos.

Vega's website

Thanks Guys we are working on it and hope to have the mess sorted out soon. Thanks for the feed back. Can I know what browsers you are using?

Updated website and loads more informaton about Vega

Good day and thanks for the feed back we have managed to sort out the bugs in our website and make quite a few improvements adding loads of new information. Please have a look and let me have your comments. http://www.sailvega.com Historical Vessel VEGA and our blog is at http://www.sailvega.wordpress.com | 118 year old sailing vessel for humanitarian relief. Cheers and happy sailing

New Vega site etc

Thanks there were a few bugs mostly Internet Exploder based but they seem to have been eradicated for now. The red sails were the best we could aford so we live with them and hope they will weather a bit with time. Doing charity work is not the best way to be able to have top of the line cloth. We are just glad to have sails...the old ones were a mess to be polite about it.

I think its a wonderful project - and you get to sail around in some beautiful places at the same time ( green with envy :D )

Thanks for the feed-back

Thanks MadHatter yes we do get to sail to some very nice places and above all when Vega gets there we are welcomed as friends - not tourists. The educational and medical supplies Vega delivers are all requested by the people we are helping so there is no wasted space or silly useless things being delivered.
