101 uses for a wire coathanger, no 4

Dry cleaning / laundry places give your stuff back on them. I have loads at the bottom of my wardrobe.

So did we once. They were adjacent to the Autohelm compass (don't ask why it was put there, not me guv ..... the deviation was frightening:eek:

No compass anywhere near the wardrobe in my bedroom at home :)

You don't imagine I have anything as decadent as a wardrobe on the boat, do you? I don't think there's a single hinged locker door anywhere in the cabin :D

A layer of kitchen foil with
the stove fire blanket wrapped around,
All tied down with two coat hangers

mended a broken exhaust on a mobo, for me once. Got us home !

Never be without them.

There must be a 1,000 and one uses !!!!!

Hint :

Not having six hands , I found that electrical tape as temporary holding worked well for both the foil and the blanket.

Twist the wire hanger up as tight as possible.

Someone suggested that another layer of foil on the outside of the blanket would have been be good as the lower layer burnt through - the top foil would keep the whole lot gas-proof.
