I'm not sure if the word Iconic can really be used for a Fairline.
Don't get me wrong, my father in law has a lovely old Squadron 50, but it's hardly iconic and doesn't hold a candle to his previous boat an Azimut 50.
If one Fairline potentially can wave the Iconic flag it really can only be the Targa 34. A boat recognisable by most boaters today.
I believe it led the way in sports cruiser styling and design, however in numbers sold it is peanuts compared to models from Jeanneau, Beneteau, SeaRay etc.
Not really iconic imho.
The thread was about iconic Fairlines not iconic boats
Jeanneau, Beneteau, SeaRay might have sold in numbers but that doesn't make them iconic - just value for money boats
