10,000 hour quarter tonner refit - why?

When you can pick one up for £10k, go racing and be competitive - what's not to like. And when the wind is light, you can't touch them. I wonder how long this one will be on the market - my guess, not long. Horses for courses. I sailed reinvented half tonners for years and we trailed them around Europe to go to events. It was fab but I wasnt paying the bills. 1/4 tonners are more mobile for away events. If you dont campaign these boats then you wont get value out of your investment. The value is enjoyment in a highly competitive fleet. The revival racing slogan is "You've got to spend money to spend money"!
