1 year old Condor Ferry Halted due to safety concerns.... a bit weird?

Looking at the schedule, I think the Liability was wasting its time 'off-dock'. So maybe it's OK. Let's keep a watch on the website's Sailing Updates for more PR politically correct, but difficult to swallow, commentaries.

Perhaps they went out to run some fire drills... I'm booked on the Clipper later in the week so could do without complications with the schedules as I have to tie it in with another ferry crossing.

Most probably the Brittany ferry needed the ramp.
I had to use that ferry 2 years ago when the Rapide s French crew were on strike.
Nice ship. Had a cabin.
Blew force 7 overnight to Portsmouth then..
Force 8 on the day trip back to Guernsey on the Clipper.
At least I made it back, and normally the Rapide customer service and reliability is quite good.
Joys of island living I suppose.

We go to the Uk on Tues late afternoon, via Jersey on 'old faithful'. Fwd cabin, supper on the way to Jersey, watch a movie, fall asleep, wake for breakfast, disembark and have a full day ahead. What's not to like?

BTW, parents used to bring the family to the CIs on the old Mail Boats in the 50s. Anyone remember Captain Large? We'd arrive in the old Wolsely at Weymouth and watch her being stropped and lifted by crane into the hold...
