Clearly the course of Covd19, with the possibility of recurring waves, herd immunity and when it is available a vaccine, will play a large part.

Brexit will be another issue that may change current thinking so in the shorter term (the next 12 months) what will sailors do❓

If at all possible we will continue with the current plan - winter in Portugal and summer in the UK but I suspect the likelihood of see it UK this summer is rapidly vanishing.??

Agree, the B word has already made us consider what we do next.
Ditto, Brexit had already made us decide to head back to the UK over the course of this summer. Now with the boat stuck in France and us stuck in England due to a family bereavement (SIL due to cancer but vastly more difficult coinciding with Covoid) We have no idea when we will be able to get the boat back. Have had to rent in the U.K. to sit it all out but hope to get back to living aboard in the UK ASAP.

Sorry to hear
We have decided to sell up because of it, not the best time to do it.

For those able to do so, head to Portugal this year. Residence can be had within a week or so, free entry into health system, EHIC card covering other EU States and no 90/180 day limit throughout the EU. No effect on UK residence or tax status either.

Oy‼ Are you on a kick-back or summat ;)

Fully agree your sentiment but hurry up, I believe Portugal is filling up fast and there is a rumour that they are developing Olhao Marina. ☑

We had already decided to re-locate the boat to Brittany this year, and the plan stay. We've off as soon as we're allowed to go.
