When my brother and I were young we tried to learn a bit of morse code and say things to each other. We learnt to say 'hello'. Three of the letters are easy but for the letter L, de dar de dit, he came up with 'octopus'. It made perfect sense to him so he remembered it but it made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever and for that reason I've remembered it all my life!
