Well after fourteen months cruising with two adults two kids age five and seven, we're spending at the rate of just under £25k a year.
That's being frugal but not daft, no other income, travelling widely (14k miles in that time, Carib islands, US East Coast, Bahamas etc) and my wife and kids fly to stay with friends when I cross oceans, done that three times in the year and our spending includes that.
Boat about forty-five feet, thankfully well behaved and not giving us major expenses, touch wood, and maintenance is about £3k a year doing everything ourselves. No complex kit (no watermaker, genset, freezer)
