How to remove snapped bronze screws ??? (in a hole)

Thanks all. Apparently the unscrew ums type grab hold of the outside of the screw anyone know where to get those ones?? Also I've heard of something like a long hole saw to cut the wood around the screw, you then plug and glue the hole. Anyone see them, know wher to get them??

Help - Removing thin deck plugs and stubborn screws

Thanks for all the input, oh boy do I need it !! Looks like I'll carry on with heating the screws to break the epoxy bond, wish I could get a bit more heat in them, On Monday I think I may put a tube heater below each beam before I start removing the screws, so they are at least off of cold...

    New deck for fishing boat

Thanks for the replies. Fishermantwo, sounds like a seriously hard wearing deck on your fishing vessel! The owner wants a ply deck though as thats what these boats usually have. Gelmaster - the deck is virtually flat as its in the cockpit so I can get away with fairly heavy ply. The owner...

    snapdragon rubbing strake replacement

thanks guys I might be being a bit paranoid but I'm worried that self tappers, or drilled, tapped and screwed fixings in grp might pull out under the strain of a 2 x 1 rubbing strake trying to straighen out or under collision. Others suggested ideas I have rattling around in my head - drill...

    snapdragon rubbing strake replacement

Thanks Steve, I'm also thinking I will have to do this from the outside where access inside is not easy. Had a good suggestion of machine tapping into the two layers of grp, hopefully that will be stong enough to hold the 2" x 1" D section. I wonder if anyone knows of a marine grade Rawlnut or...
