I went through Havengore bridge a couple of weeks ago on my way back to Walton on the Naze there is not a lot of water I only draw about a metre and it was pretty scary. The best water is probably on the port side of the creek on the way out? I agree with the previous posts not a lot of point...
Apparently there is a watchman on there I saw some live film footage during the last gale we had whatever it was called taken on the watchmans phone there's also a very interesting Facebook group about the history of the sea forts.

The Dardanelles was dammed about 15 years ago as the ebb tide was running out of Horsey Mere into the Dardanelles instead of the Walton channel and the powers that be were worried that the Twizzle/Walton channel would silt up also it was eroding Stone point away.
You can tell which mooring belongs to what boatyard by the letter before the number ie H for Halls and P for private the mud moorings just outside the Marina belong to them and I believe have a maximum boat size of 22ft
Owen Bloom and Naze oysters are no longer trading. As far as I understand the situation is that the Oyster beds in Kirby creek are no longer there but the bylaws prohibiting Anchoring are still in force for another couple of years?
water in bilges
i got a westerly pageant which iv`e noticed water on top of bilges tastes of salt but as its kept on mooring which drys i`m almost certain its from keel bolts so i`m going to lift her out and see what damage is i also know some of water comes from window but dosn`t account for...
