    Bradwell Marina to Holland

"Thank you all for your assistance. I wanted to provide a quick update. I departed Bradwell on Friday, August 4th, at 11:30 AM, approximately two hours before high tide. Unfortunately, there was no wind at all. I spent a significant amount of time navigating against the tide south of the...

    Bradwell Marina to Holland

This is such a great post! You should write a book. Do you think you were advised against the shorter route to Holland because of some tidal advantages of the longer route or because the longer route had more navigational advantages pre GPS? I did enter a Tucker Brown cup race many years ago...

Wow! That's kind of you, just let me know where you plan to leave them. I'm actually close by on F17, boat is called Opperteur. I was supposed to be hauled out on Tuesday, but I think I am still in the water. I will be going down on Saturday. Thank you. It would be good to learn more from you...

That is a good endorsement for the LongSand head route. Is there any reason that you chose not to go the fishermans Gat route? I did not know about the rail station ..thanks

I have the same issue and will be tackling the problem when the weather warms up. I would like to know if the origanal poster Westward attempted the job. If you did attempt the job, was the o ring in the cover bracket of #5 or is it on the shaft? What was the best way please to solve the...

Narrowseas Club, based on the Crouch

Hey David, I too owe a lot to the Narrow Seas Club and I think it is an undiscovered gem for those looking for company when cruising, knowledgeable experienced boating and navigation advice and some like-minded people to share a pint with at your destination. I cruise single handed in a 28...

    Burnham to Chatham passage plan

Does anyone have any thoughts about getting to Chatham from Burnham? My thoughts were to leave Burnham at 3h Before LW Crossing the Foulness at low water Whittaker time of 1000 1.1m on the 14th June. Crossing at No 6 to South whittaker then take the flood down the East Swin to SW Barrow Start...

    Cetrek Combi

My Cetrek Combi display unit has finally packed up and I am either looking to replace it directly with a secondhand Combi display unit or to add another secondhand display unit, be it combi or something compatible. I am assuming the transducer is an Airmar 200 mhz and it runs through a CNET...
