Hi
I'm preparing my Konsort for sale this year. One of the jobs is to renew the gas hoses. As I was inspecting them, I noticed the 240v cabling. From the shorepower connector to the galvanic isolator and RCD it's just regular multi strand, much like you'd find on an extension lead. This runs...
Judging by the forecast, I don't think you'll require too much protection. Bloody Alley which is on the south of Brownsea Island is very nice, and it's easy to go ashore for a National Trust cream tea.
Other options are South Deep if you need the depth, Arne Beach or the north side of Brownsea...
LifePO4 batteries all have a good lifespan but unlike lead, you can easily kill them completely.
Ecoworthy are basically the cheapest you can get, and come with a fairly simple BMS. Chances are it'd be fine, but I have a Fogstar Drift 280ah 12v battery on order. They appear very well made and...
You have a swinging mooring without being a club member? Might be worth joining one for this sort of thing - Parkstone maybe. And they'll run you out to your mooring
Congratulations! She looks like a nice one
Have you joined the Westerly Owners' Association? There's an active South Coast group and a dedicated expert on hand for each model.
I have a Konsort in Poole, feel free to ask me any questions. But there are much better sailors out there than me -...
Another weekend, another small petrol outboard issue. I've had enough. They smelly and messy too.
I'm planning to buy one of the EPropulsion models for my tender.
Has anyone here tried the regen charging feature of the Evo? I'd have to make up a special bracket as it'd have the short shaft.
I had mine back to bare metal but skipped the Fertan two seasons ago. Have just had to redo it all.
This time I used Fertan and five coats of Primocon. Everyone in the yard though it was overkill but I really don't want to all that again!
If this is the same outboard, it appears to be covered in Section 2B of this document - http://elrincondepitagoras.es/PAGINAS%20DEFINITIVAS/documentos/MANUALES/Mercury%20Mariner%204,%205,%206%204%20Stroke%20Sevice%20Manual.pdf
There was a bit more info on the ebay ad.
