I think the OP was asking how does the P43 perform "in heavy seas".
I can't comment on this question but I imagine doing the speeds being quoted above in anything but moderate seas.
Take a look at Autotrader and select any model of car and you will find a huge difference in the price - same year, same model, same spec- different price by thousands.
Boats are no different to most things for sale.
John - Yes still in Torquay and will definitely give you a shout when we next visit Dartmouth ( haven't been anywhere near Dartmouth since mid august last year)
This boat was berthed at Darthaven Marina for many years and owned by a nice guy called Bob ( don't know his surname). He traded it in about 15 months ago for a larger Fairline which he currently owns.
I remember him telling me that in one year (I think it was the 2011 season) he never moved...
I've followed this thread from the beginning - very interesting (and worrying) . I have to say there are some benefits of not owning a boat, and the fact that I no longer have to worry about getting the right insurance is is one of them.

We lost our cover on our F43 last January in a gale. We reckoned it had been blown over the pointy end of the bow because we had a 6" stainless rod fixed to the top rail of the guard rail which had a ribbon attached to it to act as a "wind vain" and this was pointed forward towards the water...
