We've had a berth in both marinas. Like everyone else, we much preferred The Haven.

I really hope things have changed because it’s a lovely setting. I think it was the attitude of a couple of jobsworths that ruined our experience.

We, very briefly, joined RHYC but found them penny pinching and unhelpful.

We absolutely love Turkey, especially from Marmaris round to Orhaniye. There are some beautiful places to anchor, like Bencik and there are fabulous family restaurants like Sailor's Paradise or the one at Dirsek. The sailing is pretty reliable and the weather is wonderful.

It's probably due to the new pension system. Employer has to pay 1% of employee salary to government pension pot first year. 2% Second Year and 3% Third and subsequent years starting 2016. It's alot extra to find for a skilled workforce. So probably all about cash than anything else. ..

Parcels 2 Go will take it to anywhere except Islands and Highlands they use TNT among others inc City Link .. Cost round about £20 ..
