Hi folks. Slim chance but could anyone suggest where spare parts for an old Harken furler might be sourced? One of the inner connectors has snapped at the foil joint

Hi I am trying to source connectors for my old harken furler - ie the black inner part that fits inside the foil. any suggestions welcome regarding possible sources.

I went from an 8 metre to a 10metre and i would really recommend the longer length - much easier to make lengthy passages and better cruising speed.

Could I suggest that the under 8 m might be a criteria you could review - there are lots of reasonably priced boats out there these days and your search might be more rewarding if you looked for well equipped low priced boats available locally rather than going for a specific make.

I am awaiting the delivery of a new cam for the raw water pump hopefully mid week. Has anyone replaced a worn looking cam to good effect? The alternative more expensive option is to replace the pump housing which is a more expensive option and hopefully wont be required.

VicS Thanks .Very interesting. Does the bar/feet column on the left represent the head against which the pump has to work? and is the data specific for engine cooling pumps rather than say bilge pumps?

hi folks Just an update on the testing. We disconnected the sea water feed to the raw water pump and substituted a clean unobstructed feed from a bucket. There was a definite lack of suction from the raw water pump. Thumb over the end of the hose could hardly detect suction. So our attention is...
