I normally change into shore clothes, whatever the time of year. Since changing eight years ago to our current boat with its huge heated pilothouse, my shore clothes ARE my sailing clothes.
I might brave a F6 with horizontal rain at 6C degrees if I was suffering from an acute case of the...
With all due respect Sandy, what you describe as desirable is more akin to a sailing club's facilities.
I cant concieve of going to marina facilities for a shower or to use the toilet-other than a quick pee-dressed in oilies and boots.
Being extremely experienced in getting a quick shower...
Yanmar prices in the UK and Europe are a joke. As the other posters have said, it should be marked. I would make two wooden wedges and tap them under the 'ears' and force it off. A smear of special rubber grease should fix it.
Some years ago I paid - no option, needed it quick - £345 for a...
Could well be a Brunel bridge, I am familiar with them as I live in a Brunel railway town.
Brunel only had to make his bridge openings fit a large cart and team of horses-the motor car and lorry were not envisioned at that time.
The nearest Brunel bridge to here is still in daily use and is...
You can buy Suzuki's 5HP conversion throttle lever which allows a bit more butterfly opening. Or, you can do what I did and bend it a bit.

We are fortunate in having a very nice boat, as a result of our second serious 'Senior Moment'!
The 16 year old upholstery is in excellent codition bar one seat cushion cover. This has worn and torn the stitching as a result on First Mate and I being 'shorthouses'.
We slide off of the end of...
What is your percieved problem?
The staining is unlikely to contaminate any white carried in the can.
As long as there is no red diesel in cans on a UK boat in the EU, all should be well.
Make up a fly lead from light cable with a female spade on one end and a crocodile clip to fit the battery + terminal the other.
Disconnect the spade terminal from the solenoid. Fit the crocodile clip to the battery + terminal.
Touch the spade terminal from the battery to the solenoid spade...
The shipyard/boatyard is still there and working. The whole West side of the River has just flooded with the recent big tides and onshore winds. Some of the Shipyard is industrial units and workshops.
