I can't be certain, but I believe this may be the same Princess 50 that I mentioned in this thread (link) – the boat that was run aground by the delivery team last summer. It's been located in my local harbor since the accident and spent the winter in storage here as well, right beside my dad's...
Your first (if I'm not mistaken 🙃) Fairline Squadron 78 has come up for sale in Sweden and still looks very good (link). I've seen it a few times here in Denmark, and it looks just as impressive in person.
Here's the original build thread if anyone's interested - link.
Thank you very much Lynn! I searched the Volvo website using Google, but obviously missed this - great to have the specs sheet.
If there's anyone who knows the engine, I would be very interested to know more. On one hand I feel like it must be working OK since it survived this long, but on the...
I've come across a very old boat for sale, dating back to around 1960, which I believe would be perfect for winter hunting in my local area. The seller has specified that it features a single inboard Volvo Penta MB20B/RB engine. Despite my efforts, I haven't been able to find much information...
@Sailfree Can you confirm if the red warnings issued on 2 Nov (link) also covered Marina de Peniche? Can you also describe what actions would be taken by the harbor office etc. when red warnings are issued - i.e. would they make contact to visiting guests and make sure everyone is informed, or...
It is a great tragedy when people's lives are lost, and there are still unknowns regarding potential technical problems prior to the capsize etc. However, I thought it would be relevant for viewers here to read some of the information published by Danish media and even more relevant from...
Is this two LAN's with the same internet connection or two separate connections? If it's one connection, can you describe how you set this up or maybe there's an online guide you used?
@Parabolica Thank you for the pictures, but they are too small! If you edit your posts, you should be able to simply drag each picture to make them larger. Alternatively, when you upload the pictures in your post, a small thumbnail appears below, where you can select whether the post should...
What a great idea and a really cool product! Could you please let us know your perception of its quality so far? Do you dry it off when storing it after use, or does the bag have ventilation?
I'm a big fan of inflatable products and earlier this year, I was searching for a European dealer of...
Found a short clip of the boat underway and wanted to share. I really like the foldout bathing platform. I hope that the beach club concept also makes it's way to the smaller boats over time.
I was thinking the same when I saw the video - I would also prefer slightly lighter woodwork. I was thinking it could look very good with white caulking instead of black but I don't know if that would be too difficult to maintain and clean over the years.
@henryf I noticed in James Barke's video, he mentions that the base price is GBP 1.5m ex VAT (with approximately GBP 0.8m in extras on this boat), which, according to him, is quite favorable compared to competitors (see timestamp in the video below). Based on your comment, it seems like that...
Nick mentions at the end of the video that the EUR 1m is full spec and not base price. Although I imagine that the shaft option will be more expensive compared to IPS. Personally I don't think the price is too bad when comparing to the competitors (the Azimut for instance).
I don't see how the Azimut is more 'open' compared to the Marex, and when it comes to blocking out the view from seating arrangements, that just looks like a design flaw to me (IMHO), but fair if you think that adds value - this is of course all individual preference.
There's no disputing that...
