I'm sure they had AIS fitted! Seems to me that the only river users that have to abide by the speed limit are the private boat owners (unless you have a TV presenter on board).

I think fuel injected engines have a cold start solenoid to pump extra fuel in in lieu of a choke. Maybe sticking or operated depending on engine temperature? Rich.
