Some of them have an underwater extension of the hull making waterline length longer greater hull speed. Watch the old peugeot lump prone to headgaskets parts hard / expensive now.

ZF gearbox on Cummins QSB 5..9 and vee drives - strange whining noise.

Sometimes a prop can sing it's usually at lower revs and can be quite annoying. Ibelieve it's something to do with the shape of the leading edge of the prop causing a disturbance in the water that resonates up the shaft and through the hull?

    Temporary mooring upper thames

Hi just looking for some advice . We need to find somewhere to leave our Freeman 22 for 2 to 3 weeks starting the 18th of August between Abingdon and reading. Price isn't the issue I just want somewhere safe for it . Many thanks Andy.

Probably discussed before but - Single Prop Petrol or Twin diesel?

Agree the Mercedes om636 in the ocean is imo smoother and under the floor and the 6 cyl in your 32 more relaxed at river speed I was more referring to those 2 4108/7s Sat right on top of them and both at 1400-1700 rpm it starts to sound very busy.

Probably discussed before but - Single Prop Petrol or Twin diesel?

That single petrol would be my preferred choice for river work much more sociable than sitting on top of two ratley old diesels .

    Thames based events

Thanks No Regrets I must admit I have thought about joining a club but with two children 6 and 2 we were waiting until they were a bit older and didn't need as much supervision so we could relax and socialise with other people.
