Not sure why not and have tried again, but in case that doesn't work either, the mainsail that you advertised sounds within a couple of cm of the size I need for my Sigma 33, but unless by some miracle that is what it was designed for, I would prefer to measure it against my old main. Where are...
I would certainly be interested in a Main and/or a No 2 if in reasonable condition (and a reasonable Dacron Main for cruising as well if you have such an article available!)

Hi Nigel, one additional trick that I have used single-handing my 33 in lighter winds is to use the spinnaker winches, which are easily reached from the normal helm position. Have fun.
Hi James,
I will buy that from you if it is still available. Grateful for confirmation and advice re payment (I have a Paypal a/c if that would work for you)
Cheers

I'm afraid that its a few years since I did mine, so the details are a bit hazy, but I certainly do not recall any problems simply pulling the pipes out of the pump prior to removing it.
Volvo 2002 Water Pump
As I recollect, the metal pipes into and out of the water pump are a push-in fit with sealing washers, so you may not need access to anywhere else but the front of the engine. You will find a schematic of the system, among lots of other very useful Volvo Penta info on...
Sigma 33 Rudder bearings
Cost of new bearings from Northshore in Jan 05 was £99.88 inc VAT (that also included the spacer washers), so if you have a mate who can produce the goods in the right material it could well be a significant saving. The set screws on mine were fitted in holes drilled...
Mine blew out a piece about the size of a 50p, but the real problem was that it blew right beside the air intake, so the poor old engine was being fed on a diet of exhaust fumes and hot, salty water - and I couldn't shut it down 'cos I had no sails up and was in the Medina melee at the end of...
Sigma 33 Rudder bearings
When I did my 33, I found that the best way to remove the rudder was to do it during the lift-out process - otherwise its a digging job as has been mentioned, or an extra lift once ashore to drop the rudder. My pin came out fairly easily with a drift and a big 'ammer...
Hi, Peter, This sounds exactly what I'm looking for. I don't know what Rogershaw has sent you in his e-mail, but I will definitely buy it from you if it is still available.
Cheers

Has anybody got any bright ideas about a source of secondhand Sigma 33 racing sails? I only race once a year in the Round the Island, but my Genesis No1 and No 2 Genoas have finally given up the ghost, so I'm looking for structurally sound and serviceable replacements. I've tried the Sigma 33...
Any Sigma 33 owners getting new racing sails? I'm looking for secondhand Genesis No 1 and No 2 genoas. Need not be pristine, as long as they are structurally sound and serviceable. Anything out there for a once-a-year racer?
