Half an hour strong swimming is quite tiring, I would target that if you are not a regular swimmer. Also some pools' Covid restrictions mean you can only book half hour sessions.
I am surprised no one has mentioned swimming. Its good for fitness, core strength, most muscles and comes in handy if you fall off your boat. The pools have re-opened so give it a go!
I've got A Seago 270 with an inflatable floor. It was the best compromise of being fairly light to handle, has large "tubes" and seaworthy. I would get an electric pump to inflate it. I use a Halfords portable battery for starting cars rather than bother with long 12v cables.
We didn't make it on Saturday after all, being put off by the strong winds forecast. I'll visit mathewriches at the boat yard eventually. Thanks for the offer!
