Pick up sandwiched between fuel and water tank, can barely reach the gate valve.Poor installation/design Pipe outlet too near the bottom of tank for my liking. No obvious drain either.

Fellow sailor has leak around injector and thinks it is a head off to replace the copper sleeve which sounds like a specialist job.Does the Volvo 2002 have a copper sleeve or does it sit on copper washer (or both) ?

If warm water+detergent +polish don't work try Teak Brite Hull Cleaner on hull or if you can source it-oxalic acid followed by polish. If that is not good enough I have never had a problem using fine grade compound on hull of my boat (Farecla springs to mind) over the past 10 years. Don't worry...

Could the problem be the mud you dry out on? Check seacocks/pipes are not holding mud and transfering smell to inside of boat and sinking into bilges. <hr width=100% size=1>paul
