A terrible website, but a fantastic resource! I am a member and also use their charts on my Android tablet, they really are a bargain. Invest a few minutes in exploring the site...it will quickly repay itself.
Perhaps they are preparing an article on lassoing; coming astern; bow thrusting; surging; pooping; stern thrust; tweeking; winching (for Scottish viewers); and finally letting go....
I agree, and think that a lot of navigation apps will go bust in a few years. The main problem with VMH is despite their attractive charts and pricing that it is a royal pain in the axxx to download and update. Their chosen Android app is not so good either. Both are well meaning, but give the...
As a non-member, 15 quid. Less as a member. http://www.visitmyharbour.com/download-android-charts/ I am a member and it is a superb resource, but there are other sources of cheap charts nowadays. Quite amazing... not so many years ago, I would have given my right arm for this information and...

I just did buy it! I should add it replaced a 1989 copy... However now there is much more information available on line, such as VMH, it is not so essential. I still would buy it, an excellent publication but be aware that not a great deal has changed.
The returning to the MOB is relatively easy and there are many methods, but depends on who is on board. Let's assume a F6 with a swell and a 32 foot Bavaria. The boat is slamming up and down with a serious chance of injuring the MOB. How do we get him on board? I don't know the answer and...
