Sorry I no longer have a copy of the handbook for the medina , It went when I sold the medina and moved to a ranger 245. But I think I might have given the Hunter Association a copy , the Hunter association is quite active and would be well worth joining they have some good archive material...
I have never seen so much wind damage in Aberdeenshire, there have been whole woods flattened , our village had no electricity or phone signal for 52 hours , water was cut off for a while. There are still many villages cut off with no electricity and water. We had no way of finding out who...
My one worked well for three years, the mast came down each winter and the indicator taken home then the cups seized up. I still get wind direction but no wind speed, the mast has remained up the last two winters so nothing has been done to it.
Could you use a thinner foam for the quilting, I normally use foam about 10mm thick and also a layer of calico underneath the foam to stop the stiches pulling through the foam. Another option might be to sew the cover in sections joining it on the quilting lines where it will not be seen
The medina has built in ballast as well as the keel so no problem leaving the keel up when moored.
The keel slides up and down in the case, no pivot, and you can lock the keel down if you wish.
Saw Ming Ming in Whitehills on Sunday when we were there, he came back about a week ago. we were told he was at sea for fifty nine days, fifteen miles was the nearest he was to land .
I have recently bought an O2 light from Duncans over the phone, when I asked about the aquafax they told me that the aquafax was more expensive but otherwise there was no difference. I have not used it yet but the light weight is a revelation.

Thanks for all the replies.
We only have two gas rings and a grill on board so not a lot of room to cook, the thermal cooker would give more options .
My thoughts are to get the 3 litre model as there is rarely more than two of us on board at any time.
