My little Hunter 19 Delyth needs to find a new home. She had a rough time 4 years ago (some of you may remember) and needs some simple work to be done on her, a good clean and a repaint. In reasonably able hands, three or four good weekends would have her together. She has a good suit of sails...
Whilst thinking that AIS is pretty useful, i would be very happy if it were to suddenly not exist for all the reasons in your post. We are tracked by our phones and places we use debit/credit cards, but we can take out a lump of cash and then spend that pretty anonymously or turn off our phones...
Robin, just had a very informative conversation with a person who obviously knew exactly what he was on about. He reckoned it was a mornings work with a bag of spanners, gave
me the web address for thief retail site, part number and the cost and I've just bought the bearing kit for £25. An...
My Aerogen 2 has worn bearings and is beginning to make a horrid noise. Before I go trawling the net to find replacements, does anyone know where I can get new ones and if it is a simple or complicated job to replace them.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Depends on the strength of the wind. Even a dinghy can have an oar-overpowering windage if there's a brisk breeze, then add the extra draft a small boat gains with a body on the bow and it becomes really quite hard to be an oar-powered bow-thruster. I've tried it and it's not that effective.
Hi all,
Can any of you refer me to a good, reasonably priced charter on the Broads for may 1/2 term? There are four of us: two parents and two children aged 5 and 9 and we have an Achilles 24 so anything is pretty big to us. I'm thinking 28' plus or minus, wood or plastic, but definitely with...
