Hello all you fishermen, My mate has a fishing licence, and is wondering what the rules are about fishing on the thames off my boat? Do we need a day ticket, or can we fish off my boat without one?

Not Sure Not sure if you are refering to my posts as an arrogant rant ? You will see from them that I agree with you. It is antisocial and I would not smoke in a restaurant/bar unless it had been designated as such which they did in Spain, some where licensed to be smoking others not, people...

That is exactly what I and most smokers do accept, what is being debated is if a bar/restuarant owner should be allowed to decide if he wishes his establishment to have smoking customers some would many would not. That way you have a choice as a non smoker to go to a non smoking restaurant or...

one other thought just to inflame my last post a little more Why not go and cruise/ live aboard where the smoking ban is enforced rather than complain about a culture in a country you were not born .......I'll get me coat and go outside for a cigarette

agree and yes i smoke, not proud just a fact and the rule above seemed to work fine in Spain in the early years of the anti smoking ban, not sure of current status, staff who worked in the smoking bars smoked or chose to work there. freedom of choice, the right to decide one's own fate and...

Mine was in all last winter (on the Thames not coastal) I put tube heater with a temp controlled theromstatic plug in the engine bay and just drained the fresh water system. All was well
