The boat market isn’t really like cars. Models that are considered classics and therefore more valuable are rare - they sometimes exist for a few years until the people that remember them age through, but I could count the models on one hand.
It’s best not to think about the money too much. A...
I think you would make progress albeit no danger of neck injury. Next time I’m going to try running at 350W as that should give just over an hour. I’ll aim to measure the speed of the boat too.
I dropped our Rocna anchor, no chain or rode attached (don’t ask), in our mud berth at high tide. Then had to rush off to work. Came back at low tide and it was sitting on the pontoon next to the boat. A kindly neighbour had fished it out for me. I had visions of it being 2 feet down in the soft...
Had a quick spin today. Bear in mind I have never used an electric outboard before.
It’s genuinely light.
The separate transom bracket is a great idea - makes it much more convenient to ship / unship
Usability is fine - no issues. The magnetic kill switch is neat.

I’ve put a deposit on one. My usage is probably less than 10 times a year, short trips in a 2.4m tender with my other half and the kids. The weight and noise of our current Honda 2.3 is a pain, and I use it so little the servicing is starting to get on my nerves too. 😀

As others have said, it may be a large chunk of the value of an older boat to have it done professionally.
Interestingly, the marine industry is one of the worst offenders for this. Outside of sailmakers, who I’ve always had a great experience with, I can count the number of reliable marine contractors in my wider area on the fingers of one hand. The South coast is even worse, with levels of customer...
