You could have a look at the Fit PC. Low power consumption and can take 12v. The industrial version Fit-PC2i can operate 0 - 70 deg c with an SSD. Prices from about £300. I don't have a link, but I am sure google will help.
Can something be done to be done to encourage/diversify exhibitors. I am not sure how much can be done about pricing of stands by the organisers cut cost must be an issue. Does the boat show need to be 10 days long? Most of the big boat shows in the USA are 5 days. A shorter show would reduce...
I got mine from: http://www.megavanmats.com/liningcarpet.htm. I removed the old headlining to use as templates, scraped off the remaining foam/glue (horrible job) and fixed the carpet direct to the fiberglass.

I have sailed in one of these in a F6/7 and found that the boat was comfortable and always felt safe. I think Maurice Griffiths designed the hull, which is the same as the Barbican 33, but cant imagine he had much to do with the coachroof.
If you only plan to use the battery for the tiller pilot than the setup would comprise of a battery, a circuit of appropriately sized cable between the TP socket and the battery with a switch/fuse in between. I would think a leisure type battery would be better than a standard car battery. Size...
I would like to restore some rather weatherbeaten wood (handrails, tiller, rubbing strake) which I think is iroko. Can anyone advise a suitable varnish or preparation as I understand not all varnishes will work well with iroko.
