Sadly that is typical of Princess at boat shows, even the tiny boat show they had in Ocean Village Princess stay had the same attitude with one boat on display. I would never even consider buying a Princess because of this, and tell the story to anyone considering or praising Princess.

Indeed the Royal Southampton WAS at Ocean Village but for a few reasons the RSYC moved out and those premises are now the Head Office of MDL and the Royal Southampton operate out of Gins on the Beaulieu River

I know the Bavaria in the op there certainly isn't any problem with spray coming into the boat to worry about unduly. Certainly no more so than any other boat of that size/speed I have been on.
