Morning all. This has just failed (pls see pic), it was put in by the previous owner who must have taken out the calorifier. It came off a set of half inch pipes. Do any of you fine gurus know what it is called and where I can get one please? As always, many thanks. Mark
Hi. Does anybody have any top tips for scrubbing post or grid locations on the Medina River, Isle of Wight? I would prefer the East side if possible. Thanks folks.
Hi GHA. Now winter is here I have some time to give this a go. I was planning to use a heat gun/scraper to unfasten the old panel and will now use epoxy to glass in again. Any other top tips would be really appreciated. Thanks for your help
Hi folks, I have a 51 year old boat and sadly one of my locker catches has failed - does anyone know where I can get one of these (see pic). Looking forward to hearing any suggestions and many thanks in advance for your help. Mark
Hi folks. Just to say many thanks for all the advice and cool ideas. As an interim I epoxied in a load of glass and it seems to be doing well so far. When it fails I am going for the Gucci window option :). Thanks again. Regards. Mark
Hi. Just bought a Tinker Tramp but it has one rotten floor panel. Has anyone got any good tips / ideas as to how to replace it? Thanks in advance folks
I contacted Universal Safety, they got back asking me for the serial number of my liferaft - I provided it within 24 hours. It is now 3 weeks later - I have chased them twice for a response and they have yet to reply. VERY POOR SERVICE - TREAT WITH CAUTION
Hi all, to close this out - I went with Tilney and they were superb. The turnaround time was less than a week and they were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again for the advice
My Raytheon tiller pilot has died after many years loyal service. I phoned them and they said because it's over 10 years old they wouldn't repair it (to be fair they offered me a discount on a new one). Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows of any company (or person) who repairs really old...
Hi folks - I have come across a problem which has outfoxed me. When I checked the gearbox oil it looked milky, to me this indicates that there is water in it. Over the winter I got the cutless bearing changed but I don't think that would affect things.
Does anyone have any ideas as to...
Following my last post I am not sure if this is allowed, if it isn't then pls. feel free to remove it. I have small tender for sale on ebay, current price is well below this sites £200 limit and is sitting at £36 at the moment - link is here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...E:IT&ih=010
Sorry Searush - wasn't trying to wind anyone up. Ebay seemed like the best place to put it, as for "reasonable cost" - the reserve is a lot, lot lower than the cost of buying a new one today. If you are interested I also have a small tender for sale there as well.
As for cranking things up...
