If the OP finds sailing in our waters so onerous and distasteful to his culinary skills perhaps he should consider setting course for the Northern latitudes where he could feast on pickled herring until his appetite was satisfied and he fattened up :)
What I meant to say was that I have found over the years here in Greece it just doesn't pay to haggle, the Greeks generally seem to take it as a personal affront on their integrity and I have often found myself apologising for even suggesting that the item offered for sale or the service may be...
The interesting (for want of a better word) thing about this thread is way that it has drifted way from the original theme to one of an amateur attempt to psychoanalyse the OP.
He is clearly just having a bit of harmless fun with you all, I simply do not believe that some of you are taking him seriously, its all reminiscent of this old Bob Newhart sketch...

LOL... not at all sure what to make of you Steve C Cronin, you either have a dry scene of humour or are incredibly naive, if you actually do read pond weeds posts I can only assume that it is the former, so go right ahead humour him all good fun I suppose.
Feeling bored again are you pond weed ? you have done all this rubbish on here not all that long ago, can't you think up something new to while away your time ?
Such faith in the holding power of the bow anchors, amazing. but how about all that corrosive salt water on the cars bikes and trucks, can you imagine health and safety in the UK though would it ever be allowed.
Just had a quick look at the local forecast for next week ... flat calm, sunny about 18c, water temperature unfortunately still hypothermia inducing, 8mm wet suit essential, enjoy your holiday.
PS to above apparently the Wharram cat beached smack in the middle of the local inshore fishing boat fleet, the locals have been trying to salvage whats left of them, good case for adequate insurance, should be interesting.
Probably, but in all fairness its doubtful, well even foolhardy to attempt to provide assistance in those near storm force conditions, fortunately there does not appear to be excessive damage to the cat, there are several yachts high and dry on the far side of the bay owing to dragging moorings...
